Drettmann Group: launch of the 42 m yacht “Bikini Queen 2”



With its latest completion of a PREMIER YACHT 135, the Drettmann Group has set new benchmarks
in the areas of quality, technology and comfort.
The PREMIER 135, named “Bikini Queen 2”, is a stylish flybridge motor yacht boasting three decks, an
overall length of 42 meters and a displacement of 265 tons. Equipped with 2 x 1,550 horsepower
MTU V8 series 4000 engines, it can attain maximum speeds of 15.5 knots.
The luxury yacht manufacturer Drettmann from Bremen stands for custom-made vessels and top-ofthe-
line quality in all of its five private brands. For this super yacht, the layout and interior design
were tailored as always to meet the individual preferences and requirements of a german shipping
company owner.
The entire bridge deck has been completely reserved for the owner: the master cabin with private
jacuzzi and balcony is located amidships directly behind the cockpit and a private office, followed by
a dressing room, an exclusive private salon and a generously sized skylounge, featuring cocktail bar
and beer tap. The flybridge is equipped with several sunbathing and relaxation areas, an exclusive
lounge, kitchen and dining area, bar, external shower and separate day toilet.
Further amenities include a gym/fitness room with adjacent sauna and shower area, generously sized
crew quarters below deck and a separate captain’s cabin on the main deck. Large-scale panorama
windows in all living areas, a dining table for 12-14 guests in the salon and a stainless steel/granite
galley, completely equipped with Gaggenau kitchen appliances and a kitchen island, attest to the
high level of comfort and convenience on board.
The spacious interior concept and exquisite furnishings from Eichholtz, Philipp Plein and Yacht
Glamour by Claudia Drettmann provide comfort, relaxation and luxury.
Presented for the first time at international yacht exhibitions in Cannes, Monaco and Genoa, the
PREMIER 135 was met with enthusiasm by the public and the press.

The Southampton Boat Show 2009



The Southampton Boat Show was off to a strong start when it opened on September 11 this year; sponsored by PSP, Frank Dixie MD of PSP announced the company would again sponsor the event in 2010.
Following the official opening of the PSP Southampton Boat Show on Friday 11 September by pop princess Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Show organizers were delighted that attendance is slightly ahead of 2008. Advance ticket sales were strong with the overall figure of an amazing 36% ahead of last year.

Attendance after six days was running at 64,179 which was 1% ahead overall.

Andrew Williams, Managing Director of National Boat Shows, commented: “This is a fantastic result, both in terms of attendance and the advance ticket sales; we’re really pleased that the PSP Southampton Boat Show.

Amongst the buyers attending the show was Eddie Jordan the Formula 1 motor racing guru who ordered his new Sunseeker 46 meter yacht for delivery in 2011, this makes his 10th Sunseeker purchase. The Sunseeker exhibition stand was without doubt extremely busy throughout the show with the launch of the all new Predator 130. Other new models on show were the Predator 60, 54 and Sunseeker yacht 80. Entertainment at the Sunseeker stand was provided by Escala of “Britain’s Got Talent” fame.

Other companies enjoying the upbeat atmosphere were Barclays Marine Finance saying that despite the obvious difficult trading conditions, they were reasonably pleased with 2009 so far.

Clipper Marine hosted 4 international brands form their exhibition stand including Azimut, Bavaria Yachtbau, Storm Yachts and Bryant boats offering the marine buyer lots of choice.
Another famous face in attendance was Dame Ellen MacArthur the round the world yachts women who was there to support the trust she has set up for young sailors.
Pantaenius UK ltd announced their new sponsorship of the prestigious YJA annual Yachtsman of the year and Young sailor of the year awards for the next 3 years .

Sunsail Yachts announced their investment of 15 million pounds into their fleet - Simon Conder from Sunsail said that although 2009 had been a challenging year, the company was looking forward to 2010.
The Sealine exhibition was very busy and Nick Powell reported lots of interest in their new range for 2010.

Hunton powerboats were showing their latest offering with a power boat that reeked of quality and style with an exquisite finish.

On a slightly refreshing note, whilst most brands offered a show discount, Pearl yachts tried a slightly different tact – A “Free Keyring”…. With a brand new Bentley Continental GT attached to it!

Overall, a great show which has certainly set the bench-mark for future events in the UK.
